Good vid Chris
Looks much better than your first vid on chapati making and a step up from the curry2go vid.

The Fluffer, Puffer as you call it, is labeled as a Chapati Toaster in the Asian Shops
for anybody looking to buy one (a couple of quid).

The Bengalis don't seem to have a name for the Toaster, as I've asked quite a few.

These are also great for finishing a Tawa Naan, I made some at the weekend.
Garlic and Rosemary. Yum.

Another way that works well is to use the wire rack from the Microwave, just place
it over the burner and adjust the heat to suit, mine sits 4 inches above the burner
and is ideal.

A couple of other interesting vids I found on the subject

Finally got around to trying this on my electric stove. The chapattis blew up like ballons (that was fun!) but the outer edges were often not cooked through so I was left with a ridge and those bits were too chewy to eat.
I guess I'll need to work on the proper setting for heat, but your method does indeed work - I just think that it seemingly works better with a gas stove.
