A packet of base
« on: September 03, 2014, 01:50 PM »
Hi Guys

Came across this is the supermarket, interesting, there is still some "special mixed" spices in there but generally quite similar to a usual base. Will be intrigued to give it a go.....89p by the way. I doubt whether i'd get 3-4 large portions out of it!

Since I don't make wet curries much anymore Im gonna get a couple of packs to try again. I note that Phil dilutes it 1:1 with water which is what I'll try.

Cant wait to have a prawn madras again!

I also liquidise for two minutes; it is nowhere near sufficiently homogeneous as it comes out of the packet, IMHO.

Hi Phil

How would you describe and compare the resultant base and curry using these packets against the bases on here?

Cheers
