Well it has been a long time (years)since I last posted for which I apologise but like a lot of people have a wee bit extra time at the moment.....love my curries obviously  so gave this one a go last night,absolutely excellent thanks a lot for the recipe,will try and be a bit more active on the forum in the future cheers    should be a picture hope it worked

Hi adey thanks a lot for this recipe mate made up the mix last night for tonights meal but could not resist it so had a bit for breakfast absolutely excellent on pitta with salad ,followed your recipe apart from no deggi mirch as I have not seen it up here in east Scotland but still enough heat for me without it.
Looking forward to tonights meal already and would recommend this mix to everyone on the forum. Cheers OG.

cheers sp great thread glad i am not alone strangely its not too bad on its own but too much in a full dish, gonna try the same curry again (curried away chicken jalfrezi) and leave out the mr naga altogether to see how it is will post up as soon as i have time to rattle them pots and pans cheers OG

tend to agree with edwin on this one i used it in a curry in cbms book 2 and it totally overpowered the dish for me i thought it was maybe a regional variation never tasted a curry like it in east scotland anyone any opinions on this cheers OG

made this on sunday and it is fantastic i mean the the recipe rather than my cooking i suppose, so it was dinner on sunday,tea yesterday and is gonna be dinner again today at work have tried a few dhals over the years and this one is definitely my favourite, highly recommended would advise folks to give it a go also really easy to make...thanks spicy

  yes i have done loads in the slow cooker with beef or lamb what i do is prepare them the previous night in the pan/wok whatever you use to a stage when all ingredients are in and just stick them in the slow cooker in the morning on a low setting when you return from work meal is ready and the beef or lamb are as tender as you can get,,lovely
