For a first post, a link to an online shop with expensive skewer suggestions is likely to be seen as dodgy at best  ::)

He also needs to be a bit more transparent about being the owner of that site too.

These are a bit more reasonable:

I wonder what the cost is once they add P&P from Aus to the UK!  ;D

I like the idea of the "V" cross section to stop the food rotating on them though.

Its free postage and packing to the UK if you have it to ship from the CN Warehouse. Takes a couple of weeks to arrive but I've had everything I've ordered in the past.

[quote

There is only one slight negative with them, in time the handles tend to come off but it's no big deal, I just squeeze a little wood to metal glue down the handle, and they're as good as new.

Hi mate. Out of interest, how do you get the skewer back onto the handle?  I have 5 of these where is handle is off and the silly little screw is ineffective.  I've tried ramming it on but I've bent the tip so now useless!!!

Any info would be gratefully received.

Razor isn't around any more, Stu (more's the pity). I'm afraid the sort of skewers we have don't have screws - they're just push on wooden handles. Mine's *did* come off in the wash at first but they're solid nowadays. I'm not sure what you mean by bending the tip. Ours are 4mm square-section stainless steel - you couldn't bend them with a vice without heating them first.

Perhaps a photo of the problem might help? :)
