hi guys well it arrived on thursday washed it straight away and cooked my vindaloo with it that night the missus who has been off curry lately tried some and loved it. so last night made a CT vindaloo for 2 and she moaned that it wasnot as thick as the nights before oops but still eat the whole lot!  i love the pan and worth the 15.25gbp it cost with courier and VAT so it took 2 days to arrive. the only problem is the stainless steel chef spoon/s and the aluminium don't go so well :'(

Result! :)

Does that mean your new pan is on it's way to looking like Chewy's favourite well used pan?

Just ordered the 26 amazon one cheers for the link free delivery with amazon as well
Not in stock though are they, 'Usually dispatched within 2 to 5 weeks'?

That's what put me off getting one from there, because from experience with Amazon, that doesn't guarantee you'll actually get one. :-\

There speaks a man of experience.  Received this in my inbox today from Amazon:

"We regret to inform you that we have been unable to obtain the following item:

"Meyer Commercialware Aluminium HT+ Open French Skillet Frying Pan, 26 cm"
 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001L1RGM2

Our supplier has informed us that this item is no longer available.  This item has now been cancelled from your order #026-3131860-3579552 and we can confirm that you have not been charged for it."

FWIW, they do still have the non-stick version in stock, as well as other sizes of the original version :

If anyone needs 2 then they have a bogof offer here for 26cm pans.

http://dadibhais.com/index.php/kitchen/cookware/frying-omelette-pans/aluminium-omelette-pan/alumininum-omelette-pan-26cm.html

Think it works out to about ?20/21 for the 2 with VAT and delivery.

Other sizes aren't on offer though.

Apologies to keep adding to this, but if anyone is interested.

All sizes are all half-price (just less than actually) now.

Edit - I see they also sell various large spoons, Tawas and Karahis/Balti dishes etc. for reasonable prices.
So if you need a few of these items it makes the 5.95 postage well worthwhile.
