Hi Phil,

I bought them purely for the long handles as I was sick to death of burning my fingers.  I don't use them as a measuring tool.

If I'm honest, I usually set everything out in order of use before I start to cook.  I'm quite geeky that way lol

Yeah, sorry for being vague with the chef's spoon.  I think it depends on what your measuring.  My chefs spoon measures liquid, such as oil, base and so on at roughly 2 tbs.  If I was using it to measure powder then yes, 4 tbs would be about right.

So, for the onion paste would you use 4 tbsp, Razor?

Yeah, I would guess it's about 3 - 4 tbs Ramirez.

my apologies for labouring this point but I getting a wee bit confused with the 2 or 4 tbsp, too much alcohol over the weekend I guess!!!!!

How much oil should I use and how much onion paste??

Hi Ian,

No worries mate.  My chef spoon holds about 2 tbsp of liquid. The recipe calls for 1.5 chefs spoons of oil, so go for 3 tbsp.  As for the onion paste, go for 4 tbsp.
