Using that sort of language takes this forum down to half- wit level :(

I agree. So much for any notion of a 'three strikes and you're out' type rule. Why should anyone feel the need to use such bad language?

Given the choice of tolerating the occasional expletive, of some members, or the incessant trolling, negativity, off-topic comments and derailing of threads, of some other members (hint, hint), I know which I would much prefer.  But tolerating neither would be nice.

I suggest you take a long, hard, look in the mirror and award yourself the latter award, for all of the years that you have been on this forum, George. Though one or two others do try very hard to pip you to the post.  I estimate that no more than 1% of your posts are anything other than antagonistic or, otherwise, have anything to do with cooking curries.

Newcomers, to this forum, should also bear in mind that comments made by some recent members are because they are disgruntled that they have been banned from elsewhere for continually disrupting that forum. No need to mention names.

Don't tell me, you're shocked again?  :o

please explain why you think that he should receive the wooden spoon award

He's disgruntled, bitter and misguided in my opinion, even if his recipes are quite good in terms of taste, and some of the best in terms of presentation.

Several members suspect that he has crept back here under one or more alternative identities. I suspect they might be right. Therefore, another suggestion might be that we have a security alert arrangement a bit like DEFCON, as used by the US armed forces. But scaled right down, of course, to match forum needs, rather than the defence of a nation.

What level of readiness do you think we should be on at present?

I only see one disgruntled, bitter and mis-guided person in this thread  ::)

Couldn't have said it any better myself.

No need to mention names, it isn't too difficult to find out who if you are that way inclined.

OK. So it isn't hard to be a member of different forums and there is no problem with that. I am.  It isn't hard to be multiple members of the same forum or re-join one from which you have been previously banned. I've done that too, and it wasn't too long before being banned again.  If you don't fit you won't fit with a different moniker.  If the admin of a site is any good, this can be difficult sometimes but there are ways around it.  IP addresses can be shifted / hidden.

As to why anybody would do this or deliberately try to derail a forum, who knows???  Bitter, misguided, depressed, lonely, insane or just comfortably numb, you mustn't have a life if that is what you desire. You'll gain little or no notoriety from it.  Just turn your old 'puter off and go for a walk with the dog.  I make a controlled effort now, not to post anything electronically once the "pissed" button is pressed.

George, let's face it mate.  This thread was a dud.  Go and read the Fireworks thread by Garp, which I don't understand either. ??? ??? ???

Ah, I see you've already been there George!!

You'd have a job cut out for you on the distilling site I frequent.  The moderators there ban you for not using expletives.  And the fishing site moderators have to have a BS meter hooked up and a big shovel to deal with it. :)

Did you know that blue is actually a reference to redheads with freckles?  Probably Scots, or possibly Irish, to start with.  I have a ginger beard, well had a ginger beard.  Anyway.

"I'm Cory Ander. No your not, I am. I'm Cory Ander too.  And Me. I'm Cory Ander.  Let me down, these nails hurt and the sun burns my skin. He's not Cory Ander I am. Let me down."

Cory Ander is God.  Hang on. He can't be because EC is.

If you are here Cory Ander, show yourself. :rofl  :o

And Bruce is a good reference to Monty Python.

Actually Mick, there's now two. Les/Bruce/CA is back (who looks nearly every day at this forum). Do you think he'll post his newer base with the evaporated milk?
