No reason why a southern curry cant be done as well CH

What's happened to the idea - first off the blocks - of a meeting in East London? It seems almost like that's been dropped as Birmingham came up out of nowhere.

Would love to go to Brum and meet up with Rob, Jerry and any others based that way, but the minimum 5 hour turn around time for the journey is just too much ... If the Brum event gets off the ground, hope you all have a great time ... I'll await news of any southern gathering

I'm with CH there; Birmingham, even though I went there every weekend for 2 1/2 years, is just too far to go for a curry (I used to go there for a woman, which is quite a different matter !) -- Kent, London, Surrey or Sussex would be perfect.

Just looked at this thread:
http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,4472.0.html

The shops are trully Aladdin's caves  ::) ::) I could easily spend  a small fortune in there  ;D  And the food looks damn tasty

Count me in for London.  May just have to have a poke round Brick Lane as i'm off next week  ::) Give myself  a little treat  ;D

So London zooms into the lead (table for 5) currently with Michael, Phil, Bob. curryhell and George (me)

I'm sure it could expand up to nearer 10 people by the time we meet. When? Brick Lane has the additional potential advantage for us of being able to wander around some large Asian stores, to see what we can find, point out to each other and stock up.

The pledges for London are hopefully the same as on 8 Sept. So that's 5 unless anyone has dropped out.

I don't think anyone is suggesting either/or. I see it as London plus Birmingham - different regions for different folks, or perhaps attend both/all gatherings if money and time are no object.

Amazing! How do you manage to find so much useful information?
I don't know how Frank found it (thank you, Frank) but one possible source is Hot UK Deals.
