Two pieces of lamb tikka and half a sheek kebab
« on: August 20, 2013, 09:47 AM »
Was stuck for a starter earlier this week so had a root around in the freezer. Found a little bag with a couple of pieces of lamb tikka and half a kebab.  Whizzed up in spicy/sticky manchurian sauce:

Very tasty; would have been even better had I remembered the garlic paste.  ;D

Had my chef's hat on last night.  Feeling quite inspired lately.  Chicken tikka, mixed onion/peppers, blended mango/garlic pickles, bullet and fresh naga chillies, tomato ketchup, lemon juice, and manchurian sauce:

It's not much to look at I suppose, but this was outstanding.  Incredible flavours!  Must have been the balance of the sweet/heat/sour. Mind-blasting! I hope I can reproduce this one.  Not sure whether to call it an Achari chicken tikka shashlik, or a Syletti jalfrezi sizzler.  Served with egg fried rice.

Rob  :)

Off to buy a wok pan today.  Need a wok for really good egg fried rice.
