The Kenwood tri-blade 700w works for me,
worth every penny.

A found it a good compromise between quality and price.

Over the years I have used cheaper blenders and they failed and were inefficient.

I would give this Kenwood tri-blade 8/10 (for a home blender)
for power, noise and efficiency.

I have seen that the Bamix is good but I was a bit puzzled by the low wattage (160w) in comparison with others. My parents own one and they have said that it is good but they don't blend many base gravies.

That is going well for the money then. I think even if I do get an expensive one I will get one of these when they come up again anyway.
