Topic: Great British Menu - BBC2

Don't know if anyone has been watching the cooking programme on BBC2 at the moment,it's the one where two top chefs put a menu together to cook for the Queen's forthcoming birthday.This week they've got Gary Rhodes against Ashton Kukcha,who's the only Indian restaurant owner who's achieved a Michelin Star Award.

Anyhow they showed a couple of interesting clips of his kitchen,cooking a large batch of popodams etc,but they also showed a couple of very large pans simmering that looked to me like base sauces.....so even the top chefs use them!!!!!!  On Wednesday he's cooking tandoori chicken(without a tandoor I presume) Wonder what the queen will say if he wins?
