A quick and somewhat disrespectful summary :

1) Accurate measurements are a waste of time; grab the biggest spoon you can lay your hands on and dip it to different depths to achieve different quantities.

2) Don't waste time washing basmati rice for pulao : it isn't necessary.

3) You can fool some of the people some of the time by repeating the recipes for chicken as lamb and prawn, simply substituting the word "lamb" (or "prawn") for "chicken" as needed.

Or from a more neutral viewpoint : on a par with many similar texts, not really outstanding in any way but will appeal to those who (like myself) think accurate measurements a complete waste of time (at least, when it comes to spice quantities in curries : I am rather more particular when adding water to Francine pain de campagne  bread mix because in my experience the quantity is rather critical and there is no possibility of retrospective correction if one uses a breadmaker to mix the dough, as I do).
