Product review : Sharwood's Saag Aloo
« on: September 15, 2012, 05:03 PM »
Manufacturer's description : "Potato chunks with spinach and tomatoes in a mildly aromatic spiced sauce".

Reality : overcooked pieces of potato in off-colour spinach that has been pureed to death, flavoured with raw cumin.

Verdict : Absolutely disgusting -- I ate three pieces of potato and binned the rest.  Sharwood's do not even have the confidence to offer the normal "We hope you enjoy this product; if it fails to please in any way, please return it to ...", otherwise it would have landed on their doorstep on Monday morning.

** Phil.

Haven't eaten anything by Sharwood's that is remotely palatable.

Same here, they are awful products.

And their popadoms, but agree about all the other products except the mango chutney :)
