IFINDFORU CURRY BASE
« on: September 06, 2012, 01:20 PM »
Hi All
I have just made a batch of IFINDFORU base curry (Garabi), I am so impressed, that i thought i should show mu appreciation, by putting in this post. I have made several base curries from this site and this one stands out as being the best, the aroma and slightly sweet, but spicy flavour, is absolutely gorgeous. I know the receipe is a bit hit and miss, regarding quantities etc, but i thing within reason, it does not really matter, the end result id fabulous. The only variations i added were, 1.5 tablespoons of Rajah "All purpose" seasoning in the vegtable mix and i used his "Mix Powder", he has two versions of the receipe, which are similar, but use the one with "cabbage". HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE!!!!

Glad to hear that you are satisfied with your latest creation Andy.  As Stonecut said, always good to have some accopanying curry porn ;). May be we'll get that once you've cooked  a dish or two with the new base.  What would be helpful is when posting  feedback always post it in the original thread.  That way others, having just read the initial post, can read the results and comments of  members that have tried the recipe.  What's the chances of coming across feedback in isolated thread such as this?  I suspect they  are greatly reduced.  What other gravies have you tried?  If you like the base i recommend trying his precooked chicken recipe.  Wouldn't use anything else now :P

andymac,

you're not wrong sir - the base is certainly top notch (in my top 3).

i need to scale it down before i can really use it - the as spec produced 19 portions which is too much for me to use during the useable time.

ifindforu's tikka is also very very nice too - my fav.

there is also a revised recipe (not tried) http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=7832.0;topicseen
