Ayams Chilli Oil

Hi - just wondering if anyone uses pre-made chilli oil instead of the suggested spice oils? I have a bottle of Ayams that I bought a while ago and forgot about.

I've never used a chilli oil and, although it can't do any harm, I can't see it doing much good either (in BIR terms). If you're going to use a spiced oil it needs to be more complex to have a real benefit to the curry.
