Saturday Morning Session...
« on: May 26, 2012, 01:35 PM »
Having been woken up by the dawn chorus at around 4 this morning, I could not get back to sleep so decided on a Saturday morning session. I cooked this little lot because my sons girlfriends parents are busy in the garden today trying to finish off their decking ready for a Jubilee BBQ next weekend, so I thought I would make some lunch for them.

I made Garlic Chilli Chicken, Mutton Bhuna, Sag Aloo and Mushroom Pilau Rice.

This is the first time I have made Dipuraja's Bombay Aloo and to be honest I don't know why it was rated joint first in the Aloo group test. I found it bland and ended up modifying it to come up to scratch (for me anyway), including adding some spinach.

Anyways here's a few pictures to get everyone in the mood for some Indian cooking this afternoon :)

Hi Chewy,

Thanks. I've yet to invest in some decent pans, I tend to just use my Tefal pressure cooker for all my curries. I'm not sure where to get an aluminum pan from, can you advise please? :)

Any Asian supermarket, they start from around a fiver.
Then again, if your cooking good curries with what you've got, why bother.
cheers chewy
