Morrisons Chicken Korma
« on: May 11, 2012, 12:23 AM »
I was reminded of this dish when I noticed an advert for it tonight, at the bottom of a cr0 web page.

The advert on this site reads:

Morrisons Chicken Korma
Now available at Morrison M-Kitchen
Atkil Kochhar Worldclass recipe
http://www.morrisons.co.uk/Food-and-Drink/Our-food-ranges/M-Kitchen/Chefs-created-meals/

When you go to the Morrisons web page it says:

Chicken Korma
"To give the dish lots of flavour, the fresh chicken pieces are marinated and then chargrilled before cooking through in the sauce. And to make the sauce really authentic, I?ve added garam masala, cashew nut pur?e and green cardamom powder."
Atul Kochhar

I read something similar when the dish was introduced and I tried it a couple of months ago. Has anyone else here tried it?
Given the exotic sounding ingredients, also including rose petals, I was most disappointed to find it bland and almost tasteless in the extreme. How can the top chef and Morrisons have got it so wrong?
