naga jolokia chilli powder
« on: April 17, 2012, 04:16 PM »
noticed my usual place to buy spices online had small packs of this chilli powder in. so couldnt resist getting a pack to try.

now im wondering how much variation in heat there might be, as an example for a normal curry i like around half teaspoon- 1 level teaspoon or hot chilli powder, tsr variety.

anyone got any idea how much of this lethal stuff i try :)

Hi Jimmy,

I don't think anyone had the time to reply before you posted your second post, but I would imagine any chilli powder with the word, "Naga" in it, is instantly going to persuade you to put a toilet roll in the freezer before using it!!  ;D

Watch out, bhut jolokia chillies are some of the hottest chillies in the world. I regularly buy dried jolokia from chilli pepper pete http://www.chillipepperpete.com/ here in the uk. But beware you will become addicted nothing else gives a burn like a bhut.
