Hello, everyone!  My name is Christy and I'm from Texas.  I'm really excited about this forum.  I love to cook.  My family loves Indian food, especially my husband.  I'll be prowling around for some new recipes.  My standby curry is one from Allrecipes.com that uses premixed curry powder.  I'm looking forward to making curry from scratch.  I've already got a great naan recipe, at least.  Yay curry!!

Here's my standard curry recipe, although I use chicken thighs and chickpeas:

You will make the family proud if you can make some of recipes on this site - there are some great guys and gals here with an abundance of information, pictures and video links - HAPPY curry making - dont forget if you have a different take of a recipe post it in the appropriate thread and upload pictures - its great to see

Thanks for the welcome, Rich!  I've been printing recipes for the last hour or so.  I'll be heading to my local Indian grocers very soon!

Hey Christy
When you are in your local Indian grocers ask them do they make their own garam masala etc not the standard packets that are on sale - you might pick up a recipe or two!!
