Brassica oleracea saag aloo

A long story short - i was in the mountains and a hill tribe was growing sprouts - havent had them in 7 years  decided to buy a kilo - anyhow

tonights dinner


Brassica oleracea saag aloo (Brussels Sprout Spinach Aloo)

Ingredients:
Par boiled sprouts (i steamed them)
par boiled potato
2 cubes frozen spinich
small red onion cubed
Pinch: methi
1 tsp: g/g
1 tsp: sugar
0.25 salt

"I was in the mountains" : you have no idea what an upwelling of feeling that phrase evokes.  I have been to Chamonix only a very few times, but the desire to live there and to be able to wake up to the sight of Mont Blanc is almost too painful to recount ...

Bit of a difference though Phil mountains in Chamonix and the mountains in Thailand - mind you it was a little nippy up there - but as usual its 30 degrees when you are down again - and cooking curries certainly puts a bead or two across the old forehead - would be nice to see some snow - or would it?

Yeah Whandsy its a shame that the picture cant be in the thread instead of posting a link to it - which is a crap idea  - in fact it makes you NOT want to make the effort to post pictures with a recipe
