Chewytikka's videos

Hi Chewytikka,
I don't know whether this has been said before but I certainly find that your video's are some of the best I've see on the net.
I particularly like the clear step by step approach with the ingredients listed as they are added.
I like to follow the video in 'real time' on my iPad which sits on the kitchen shelf.
I made your recent chicken madras last weekend and it is one of the best curries I've made.
Just one suggestion for any future curry videos, I would like to see a full range of the ingredients used shown at the start of the video for about 10 seconds before the cooking commences. This can be used as a preparation list which can be paused on any play back device. It can be a bit of a pain on phones/tablets pausing and rewinding etc.
Just out of interest, what video editing software do you use which allows the addition of text animations?
Thanks.
Regards, James

Hi James
Glad you like the Vids and you got a result with the Madras.
Thanks for your suggestion, I may add that in the future, as well as a few more idea's I have.
The Vids were really an evolution of my time spent on cR0, further recipe info and discussion
is contained in each particular thread.
Watching on your ipad in the kitchen, is exactly what they were aimed at. so I'm well happy.
Its been interesting and fun, trying to create realtime recipes in "one take" warts and all.
I still find today's technology exciting, in the way that you can watch the video, across all media devices, iphone, ipad, computer and even 50" HDTV and its the same quality.
Adding the motion graphics is the most time consuming and also rendering the final clip to a watchable full screen TV standard.
The quality decreases slightly, when its uploaded to the web and can take a while for them to convert, but I find Vimeo much better than Youtube
but for me, their both just somewhere to store the Vids.
I use Macintosh platform, creative suite, FinalCut, Motion, etc.

But I have used Sony Vegas in the past. (PC), which was pretty good.
All the best for the season
Cheers Chewy

If only such videos had been so readily available some 20 odd years ago
. The newcomers to BIR have it so easy nowadays - everything dished up on a plate so to speak ;D. Keep up the good work CT and all you other video buffs

great videos Chewy and many thanks for taking the time and effort to post.
much appreciated by newcomers to curry cooking like myself
much better than reading a recipe and wondering where it all went wrong
at least with the visuals you can see what its meant to look like
Cheers
