Gutted

I have earlier finished making what i hoped to be was my ultimate curry (jalfrezi). It looked and provisionally tasted like everything i wanted it to be. But because of cooking it and spice overload i decided to wait until i went for for a few jars before i tucked into it. I have now come back and am gutted because my taste buds just arent up for it despite my mind saying jump in both feet. I know its superb but am well miffed that the sensations i think im craving arent there
anybody else know these symptoms, sniff

It's a very common thing among us wannabe BIR chefs. If anybody else was to eat the dish you'd just cooked they'd probably say " as good as any restaurant" ;D. But at this moment we wouldn't agree
No cure for this ailment either
