Hi All from sizzling Stoke

Just thought I would introduce myself, born & bred in the City of Stoke on Trent an avid Fan and season ticket holder at the home of the mighty potters commonly known as the Britannia Stadium or called the bear pit by the fans,
I love cooking and have experimented with different curries over the years, I have tried all sorts of permutations to try and get the restaurant taste but this still alludes me, I have recently been working on dishes from the book titled "the curry Secret" but again the taste of my restaurant curry alludes me, although it does come the closer when using this book than anything I have made before.
Hopefully I can glean some knowledge of all you curry masters out there and accomplish my goal of getting the taste that I seek, I have travelled to India and Sri Lanka where I have eaten some gastronomic delights yet I still prefer the taste of the boiled onion based dishes served in the local curry houses....of which we have some belters here in Stoke. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Welcome to the forum and don't worry I'm sure we won't hold the fact that you're from Stoke against ya! ;D
Talking of KD's Curry Secret, this is a well known text amongst those on this forum and you may find a few who wish to share their own experiences of these recipes. There are those like Phil who have perhaps done more than most to develop her style.
