I would certainly be willing to take up the gauntlet and give it a go ;D. Having regularly eaten exceptionally hot curries for almost 30 years I am very aware of the risks and consequences, having suffered some pain myself for over indulging in my extreme pleasure

. If anybody takes on such a challenge who is not a regular eater of extremely hot curries they are very fool hardy indeed

. It can be no laughing matter and the consequences are severe to the uninitiated as some contestants found out. This should only be undertaken by those individuals with, for want of a better expression "a proven track record". Certainly not an individual who is just up for any challenge and a laugh. Even for a most experienced hot curry eater such a competition should be viewed as a serious affair and not an event to be taken lightly as no doubt it was by some contestants. I am sure many have now learned their lesson and won't be repeating the experience
