Coriander Bolting

Any Tips on stopping Coriander Bolting.
My latest batch seems to be going to seed very early. :'(

I used to have the same problem with bolting coriander but this viriety is so easy to grow  ;)

I had to Google the term 'bolting' and from what I read, coriander is well known for this. Comments made by seemingly educated posters imply that stress is the most likely cause of early bolting usually brought on by changes in weather conditions and/or temperature changes.

I'll get some of these seeds and give them a go when the season starts.
I had no luck at all last year, but I can buy fresh everyday at the local Bangladeshi store
Its really good at the moment, imported from Spain.

Hope I have a bit more luck with my Black Chilli plant as well.

Probably the worst weather ever last year, had a lot to do with nothing growing properly.
The Coriander got about six inches high, then started to flower.
The year before I just scattered a bag of Natco, by July, I couldn't get moved for it.

It's mostly heat that makes C. bolt, afternoon shade helps apparently. There are "slow bolting" varieties bred for warmer climates, which I'm sure would apply to India and SE Asia and that's the one I use.
