flavouring chapattis?

Hi folks
Any Hints, tips or methods for flavouring/spicing chapattis?
Probably going to have a go at making some on my new Tawa this weekend, as a change from naans, but fancy something other than plain ones.
Cheers

Methi leaves work well as does turning it into a Paratha or better still a stuffed Paratha with keema.

Hi Martin,
For me, the best way to flavour a chapatti is to brush it with a flavoured butter of your choice, however, chapatties are generally used to mop up some kind of sauce so, the sauce would possibly masque the flavouring that you would add anyway.

Cheers for the tips folks
Haven't made chapattis before so I thought I'd ask first.
I'll have some fun and do some experimenting with them then.
Cheap and pretty simple to make, so nothing to lose really.
I know what you mean Ray about eating them with the curry, but I always try to flavour my naans too. I just prefer them that way.
Oh and Axe, yep parathas will be next on the list to try, so no doubt I'll be back asking about stuffings for them.
Cheers

just another thought martinvic - some recipes don't have salt in them and I always put salt in my chapattis - that alone (made with some decent elephant ata flour) will give you a tasty chapatti.
