Phil, how did you get to that review for the item?
I can't even get that, although the review does seem a little wrong with, 'coating peeling off', '9 pounds' etc..
What coating?
It isn't a non-stick pan, like all carbon steel woks it needs proper cleaning then seasoning/oiling to stop it rusting.

Over 35 years in I.T  :)

1) Throw your search string into Amazon.Co.Uk
2) Click on the result of interest
3) From the location bar, copy the element following "/dp/", i.e. "B000P5Q42I"
4) Throw that string into Google
5) Click on the review titled "Amazon.co.uk: Sha An "Thush J"'s review of 27cm (10.5") Carbon ..."

Incidentally, a second commentator echoed your own feelings (and mine); he wrote :
