For the love of curry
« on: February 02, 2011, 10:05 PM »
So im thinking, after getting back from working away im going to give the 2011 madras a try. Im getting in the ear from an over fussy cleanliness wife.

Before it used to be the mess, all the pots and pans and tumeric stains in the new kitchen. So i took measures and made a decent attempted to at least put away my spice tubs and throw the onion peelings and tomato tins in the bin.

Well now its the smell, im like how the feck do i get rid of the smell, no-matter what you do your still going to have that bengal cooking lovley beautifull food of the gods smell lingering around for an evening. For me its positively a plus, but for her its just another reason i should stop cooking these curries.

so im thinking maybe i should just get rid of her, as there is no way im stopping my curry exploites.

curry or wife for me its a hard choice, im allready sort of un-officialy restricted to one curry need a week.

this just will not do

Im sorry to hear about your problem Jimmy, but as long as you break on good terms i think you and the curries could go on to have a long lasting relationship together. Who knows, maybe she'll pop round for a meal every so often, if she does then just be carefull she don't try and lure you back with her feminine ways.
Its a tough choice but we are all behind you here m8.
Curries are for life not just for chrimbo.

It's no contest really Jimmy......

Become a bachelor mate.... Curry every night and if you want to invite a fellow curry lover of the opposite sex round 7 nights a week, you have found paradise!!!  ;D

Lol Jimmy you have my sympathies. ;)

I am fortunate enough to have a wife that knows what side her bread is buttered. I do most of the cooking in the house so she puts up with piles of pans and aromas. ;D

Perhaps CR0 should have a 'Counselling' forum added to it.   8)

I've just started seeing a girl who is a Madras fiend and last night when we went out for tea, we both had a "Death Chilli Burger" which was basically a burger topped with a chill relish made from Scotch bonnets. She wolfed it down without a single complaint and on Friday she is helping me assess my third Taz Madras.

Well, my wife met me crawling out of my local pub on my hands and knees, absolutely mullered!  She picked me up and asked me if I was ok, I said "I will be when you walk me to the kebab house love" and the rest, as they say, is history ;D

M y favourite time, is when she is on a diet.  Whilst I'm making a mess of a tandoori mixed grille, she is sat miserably crunching away on carrot sticks and celery.  I can see the hatred in her boat race as I'm eating it like it's my last meal, lol.

Jimmy, have you thought of building yourself a curry shed like AchMal- currybarkingmad?

Ray ;D

I recommend heavy drinking while you're cooking, then you won't care what she thinks.

lol keep up the suggestions.

stephen where the heck did you find a lass like that, maybe we could have a dating section in here.

ive tried without success to gradually up the chilli amount the last couple years to get her to vindalloo level, alas she thinks a onion bhaji is too spiced.

i think we should get the prospective partners to fill out some kinda curry questionaire, saves the hassle in the long run.
