Hi Big A, welcome to the site!
Im not sure about spicy onions but I use this for Pakora dipping sauce:
250 ml natural yoghurt
Salt to taste
1 level teaspoon chilli powder
1 level teaspoon mint sauce
7 tablespoons tomato ketchup
Cheers

Here you go I had a feeling someone had posted something like spicy onions before:
http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=267.0
Its identical to the pakora dipping sauce from what I can see though
Cheers

They are from a book called "the korma sutra"
It's sold by the harlequin group of restaurants
Check it out
