If there is one ingredient that can sour curry quickly, it's politics ::)

I have finally persuaded a very good friend to join us. I actually am embarrassed beyond belief that the site today has been invaded by spam and now politics. There is no room for either here surely.PP

With the greatest respect, Panpot, "talk about anything other than curry" does not mean the same thing as "talk about anything other than curry and politics".  IMHO, of course.  (Afterthought : and so long as we keep talking mainly  about curry, and don't change the focus to a primarily political/civil liberties one).

Yes I agree we should leave politics well alone on this forum.

Let's keep the focus on curry - there are plenty of other forums to argue politics.

Apologies for my post!

I understand that politics can be an emotive subject but why oh why are members so against having a conversation on here, that is not about curry. This is one small section out of a list of many, it's hardly going to to effect the focus of the entire site is it.

To be honest, I do not think this is a discussion about politics at all (for any conventional meaning of "politics"); we are, I would suggest, arguing about justice, and our different perceptions thereof.

Evidently, when posts about "anything other than curry" run at between 40% and 80% of all posts, the answer is a definite "yes" Axe!

I have seen very little of note, regarding BIR curry cooking, in ages......
