East TA prep station
« on: November 12, 2010, 11:00 AM »
Hi Guy's,

Got this off facebook.  Great looking prep station, just wondering, how many of the containers could we identify?

Perhaps the guy's at East would like to elaborate?

Ray :)

Particularly intrigued to know what is the red / orange liquid looking stuff near the top middle?

Cheers

Hi Ray,

Have you tried this takeaway? I was thinking of ordering from there the other day...
Where do you normally eat in the Tameside area?.

Hi Lee,

I have used it many moons ago, and I gave it a pretty poor review at the time.  I may have been a little unfair in my criticism as I was drunk as a skunk after being on a bender in Ashton :P

In fairness to East, I told them this when they became a member of cr0, and they graciously offered me a refund or a free meal.  I think, I should order from them again, and give them a much fairer critique whilst I'm sober.

As for where I usually eat in tameside, for my TA fix, I usually use Seven Stars on Stockport rd Ashton., Really cheap, and very tasty food.  As for my "sit ins"  The Plaza in Audenshaw, very good sit in food, but it doesn't travel well for a take out.  The Red Lounge in Audenshaw, again, nice food, doesn't travel well.  The Pearl in Audenshaw, good food, great atmosphere plus, added bonus, Karaoke bar, awesome lol ;D

Stopped going to the curry mile now, just too inconsistent.  It's like playing curry Russian roulette there these day's

My favourite curry house of all time, which has sadly gone, was the Ashton Tandoori, in Henry Square, facing Ashton old baths.  Proper old style curry house.  Nothing has ever come close to this place ever since.

Ray :)

I'm wondering if it could actually be this http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php?topic=4076.0 posted by SS some time back?

Anybody brave enough to offer what they think all these tubs are?

I know I'm not lol ;D

There are a couple in there, that look like Jarred paste's, I really hope that they aren't! :-\

Hi
Sorry if I was not clear. Is this a curry only TA because on the chopping board is red onion but there is no receptacle to place it in.The set up looks more like a pizza place?

Well, if you read the small print at bottom right, it says "Indian and Fast Food Takeway", so it may well do pizzas as well as curries if pizzas (pizzae ?!) can be counted as "fast food".
