i needed to make this to make jb's tikka.
the only trouble for me is that i only have natco extra hot chilli powder - which i like but is too hot to use in the spice mix for the family (i use small qty's for them ~ 1/4 tsp).
i would normally add the chilli powder separately at cooking time. i like the ease of having it in the mix powder though.
on taste it tastes fine - can't say it's anything different to what i've used before (Derek Dansak, Dipuraja come to mind).
i don't question jb's posts or his source but mix powder is something that i'm currently sceptical on. so much so i intend asking my local TA for a sample. i've been wrestling with my gap and mix powder just won't go away.
the difference in the colour of the photo's does not help either.
