I forgot to buy a can of garden peas.  It needs the peas next to the chips.

Rob :)

And a fried egg. "Egg and chips. Egg, beans and chips. Egg beans, chips, and curry. Three teas, one without." I'd go to that caff!

Fantastic looking curries KB  :like:

Now that can only be described as LUSH !!  Add a few green chillies and a portion of mushroom or special fried rice, a cracking supper.

Found another Rik curry in the freezer.  Kashmiri chicken and mushroom bhuna.  Will have this tonight.  Next up is an MDB MKI balti fest.  However, fish, chips and mushy peas are on the menu for tomorrow.  First time in many years.  I am quite excited.  Can't decide what to have with it though.  Just salt and vinegar?  Or, should I also have tartar sauce, tomato ketchup, HP sauce, or salad cream?

Got my lids mixed up.  I posted a photo of the Bhuna earlier.  Last night's re-heat was some leftover Dopiaza.  Very tasty.  Had some pilau rice to go with it.  Made a bit of a hash with the different colours, but part fixed it with saffron tea.  Come to think of it, I could have put some garden peas in this too.

Make sure you wear your best dress when you pile that crap on. Real men eat salt and vinegar!   :Clown:

Great to see you back on the forum Santa.  I hope you are well and have had a good Summer.  Went with salt & vinegar and a small quantity of Coleman's tartare sauce.  A nice dinner.  Beer battered haddock. The mushy peas were a let down though.  Don't think they liked being frozen; turned out as pea soup.  Kicked myself later remembering I had  a can of baked beans in the cupboard.  Should have swapped the peas for beans and the tartare sauce for HP sauce  :)

No expense spared.  I will make this an annual event.

Hey, that's the same as e.g. The Railway Bell, South Woodford, does...

Freshly hand-battered cod fillet, chips and tartare sauce with mushy peas

Well, apart from the £12.04 price difference, of course...  :omg: :smile2:

Good man! I still think the tartare sauce is a bit posh, even though I do like the stuff. Boxed fish and chips ... what were you thinking?
