Yep.
Recent 100 posts, 10 pages of 10, over the last 45 days with total activity accounted for by only 10 members.  In no particular order, myself, R141, T63, KB, CH, UF, PP, NJ, Onions and George.  I think I need to make a concerted effort to capture the stuff I might wish to preserve for my own future use.

Incidentally, I cooked a curry last night, but it wasn't Indian.  Thai Yellow Coconut Fish Curry using 4 large (250 g) tail section fillets of Barramundi, served with Basmati rice touched up with both black and red rice plus steamed (microwaved) vegetables.

I made a beef curry the other day using the onion masala that works very well as a base. I’m due another batch of base but I watched a British guy called Rick do a vindaloo masala and his base is just baked onions that are blitzed. I think I’ll try that next as his dishes do look appetizing.
I’ve been cooking dal recently since attemting Ethiopian cuisine. Misir Wot made using the spiced ghee Niter Kibbeh is absolutely delicious. Dead easy and a slight variation on Indian dal.
Spicy, warm, just wonderful and so simple to cook. Makes a great breakfast dish.
Keep cooking and posting folks.

What am I missing ?  Robbo's link takes me (at least) to a video recording of Cliff Richard, I have no idea what "`Strue" means, and I cannot see any connection between 100 posts, 10 pages, 10 contributors and the need to archive.  Someone please explain ...

Just means “it’s true” Phil.
And my subtle way of pointing out the lack of activity in the forum.
Wasn’t that oblique I thought…

Too oblique for me, sorry.  But why does Cliff look such a prat ?  I'm sure that when he recorded that video his "animation" wouldn't have seemed in any way unusual, but viewed today, I'm sorry, but he just looks a complete prat.  He should have stuck to singing with the Shadows !

Recall mention of this baked onion base on a Facebook curry page a while back Robbo.  Does sound interesting, but I couldn't find anything more on it.  Do you have a link?

This video, making a madras from scratch shows his baked onions base.  I think the result of just pan cooking them in oil could be similar but it’s interesting.

The finished dish looks very good to me, the colour, the texture, so I sought out his other stuff.

This is the vindaloo paste he makes in a HUGE batch.

And the vindaloo he makes. A bit heavy on the spuds for me but in my never ending search to recreate BIR vindaloo, I have to give it a bash.

Thanks Robbo.  Made a batch of the baked onion gravy today.  Will let you know how it goes.  First impression is that the oil/texture for a madras/vindaloo is absolutely bang on the money.

Very subtle and brought home by your choice of one of Cliff's many hits.  Most appropriate I thought.
As for the recipes you list, these are all from Loveitspicy, who was  a regular contributor on here.  Rich certainly knows his stuff, and far beyond just BIR.
As for archiving, a practice worth doing if you can remember all those gems you want to preserve and where they are hidden.  Fingers crossed, bit rot hasn't set in which it has on the first post of many topics sadly.
