Just for you're info, TK Maxx are selling carbon steel wok (10") for 6 quid each.
I know I've expressed concerns over using woks for cooking curries before, but these are only likkle, and do the job great. I bought 2 of them, and they both fit on my hob side by side, so I can create double the mess but in only half the time!
good or what?

LOL, double trouble.
Cooking on electric I can't use wok's. I'd so love a large range on gas.
What other kitchen gear to they stock?

Yes, there is one in town, but its a royal pain parking trying to get to it. But it sounds like its worth a trip.
We've got a few kitchen shops in town but it being what it is, they sell the high end stuff only the chairman of a bank can afford.

Be careful taking your wife into TKMaxx though Axe...they do some pretty nice designer gear for knockdown prices (not to mention great deals on designer handbags too and none of those cheap knockoffs, they're the real deal) you have to rummage, but it's worth the time...I went in there looking for a bag for my daughter, cost me ?500 and still came out with no bag for the lass ;D

My wife has more bags than Tesco! ....
... "just popping out luv, back in a bit"
Heed taken
