its been years since ive seen such bad snow and i live in highlands and islands. i work away in isle of lewis and live in fort william, bottom of ben nevis.

The ground has had permanent snow and ice for a month now.

ive seen deeper snow but never such a prolonged period of freezing cold, heck its been basically -10 to -14 for weeks at night. Its snowing heavy just now again

hows everyone else fairing in there part of the country the now.


ps> last night i never had a drink ( prob only scotsman)

Sounds like Canada in winter! Strange thing is that it has snowed once in Toronto this year, which melted away fast. Almost tropical!

Here too. We have devastatingly cold winters here sometimes. It's the damned wind from Canada in fact. We had just under 2 feet of snow for two days. The first day it reached nearly 80 according to the outside thermo. But the rain really saw it all off in the same time it took it to fall.

All in all its up and down like a yoyo. Even the heating system here is confused.  ::)

Sounds like Canada in winter! Strange thing is that it has snowed once in Toronto this year, which melted away fast. Almost tropical!

this is bad now

we have had the coldest weather in uk during this freeze here in fort william.

we are practically snowbound now

and just on the itv news its gonna be -21c here in next few days !!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I live in Berkshire and we have had reports of 16 inches tonight :(

Thank god I have plenty of chicken, base sauce and spices in stock yay :)

That's nothing.  Here in Las Vegas, it's going to get down to FOUR DEGREES tonight!!!!!That's like another ice age.

In fact, it will only make it up to 15 degrees today....

A friend of mine knows a guy who stables horses near Alyth in Perthshire and he has recorded a low of minus 30c this winter.
