I assume spice-as-nice isn't talking about BIR curries then because most coriander isn't available with the root in the UK.

I got bored during lockdown so went to my spice cupboard got a handful of coriander seeds and chucked em in a pot, roots are on the bottom :)

Lucky you! Nice for Thai curries but can't say I've ever seen them used in BIR curries.
