WARNING This stuff is adictive!
« on: November 19, 2009, 07:52 AM »
Hi All,

For all the chilli heads here this chilli sauce is a must! Its my absolute number 1 favourite and I've tried many. Before you know it you'll be smothering your cornflakes with it.

I can only direct you to stores in Copenhagen, Denmark unfortunately ;) but here I find it in some Thai/Chinese stores. If you go looking for it, watch out for fake copies, it should have the rooster on the bottle and be made by Huy Fong Foods Inc. further info on spotting fakes can be found here --> http://www.huyfong.com/same/counterfeit.htm

Try it, this stuff is magic!

I have it. ;D
It's on both Indian and Chinese store shelves over here. I find its obviously nearer the Chinese flavour but its certainly really potent and well worth getting for many uses.

Jerry, I haven't tried it in BIR cooking yet but I use it in an on pretty much everything else  ;) It has a garlicy sweetness to it (but not excessive sweetness).

I have (of course). It's not what they use in mine.

You can get that brand in Tesco, it's in the Chinese section.

could not find the sriracha stuff at tesco. i did get the franks and lingham's.

i intend  to compare with the ashoka south Indian garlic sauce. the ashoka tastes the better as chilli sauce (closer to what i'm after for putting in curry).
