Kebab shop (Donner kebab)

Could anyone clearly tell me how to make the marinades or the recipes to make the following kebabs: Doner meat,Shish Kebab, Chicken Kebab,Kofte Kebab? I have ben looking everywhere to try and make my own with no luck! Please can anyone help?  :-\

it's an area that i feel we've not done justice to - other things keep taking priority.

there are quite a few posts though which get u u quite close.

I have never got round to this one yet, but the ability to add the Donar Kebab to my repertoire would be cool, so hopefully someone will come in on this. Cheers PP

They went through it on an episode of the F-Word. Giles ate some raw. If you can find the video it should have some answers.

I am this is not indian food but does anyone have the recipe for: Lamb doner kebab like the one on the spit, and chicken donner like on the spit, and also Kofte kabab like from a kebab house, Recipes would be great if you can help?

bigben,

what u're after is not on the site.

there is a link to a butchers site (can't find now) which goes through their best informed guess at making spit meat. they said that all kebab shops buy made and without direct access to where they are made there was little hope of getting it just right.

my conclusion from reading the posts was that it was pretty much impossible to recreate at home.

the links above are a compromise.
