Howdy.
My joining here is a result of me doing a google search for traditional Indian recipes. And wow, there are so many recipes, I don't know where to start.
So I shall pop on over to the questions part.

Welcome to the commumity, I know what you mean about being overwelmed with the information. I have only really been cooking now for maybe 2 months or so (of my many years) and the way to start is to pick a base gravy and follow that. I used

restaraunt gravy and vindaloo and it turned out great and very tasty and then went on from there. UB's naan recipe is good although me naans are not really there yet but my onion bhaji's are killer....
I have even branched out and am growing my own hot chillis.....
Be careful this is addictive.

Welcome
. I've only been here a couple months myself. These guys here take care of you though...
I know the recipes seem overwhelming at first, but the logic is you pick a base (I picked Bruce Edwards'...it was simple for me to do, and has worked with all of the dishes I've tried thus far), pick a recipe and go. The toughest thing for me was the process of stocking my spice rack
It's addicting making this stuff, because each time you do it, your methods become better and better, and you get more confident with the food you're making.
Anyway, GL with the cooking. Post pics of your creations
