Seen it as ingredient in Pasanda, wouldn't try it myself though.

There was a T/A I used in the late 80's early 90's that did a Keema Royale which was a sort of Keema/Bhuna/Dopiaza with minced meat, peppers, onions, peas and was garnished with a quartered boiled egg, very nice it was too. Just try a sliced boiled egg as a garnish for a biriani or any curry for that matter, absolutely delicious. Hope this helps.

i'd mix the chopped/sliced boiled egg into the biryani and serve with a plain madras curry sauce. i guess a veg curry sauce might just do it as well.

in the good old 80's my local ta's used to have a dish called Chicken Moogli. A mild tomato based curry sauce with a whole boiled egg in it. Perhaps it was a "regional brummie" dish. Havent seen it on a menu in yonks
 :(

Possibly a Chicken Moghlai?

Could just be a case of the ever-so-consistent BIR spelling.

I've seen boiled eggs in Moghlai's as well.

Thanks for that Josh...there is more than a fair chance I got the spelling wrong - a case of the ever-so-inconsistant spelling by me! :-[

I cook a lot of boiled egg curries as they are quick, easy and delicious.  I have a few recipes in cookbooks, but generally create my own curries anyway.  I find it best to add the boiled eggs whole for the last 15 to 20 mins of cooking.

I have been in some restaurants and TA's that will sell something called an egg masalla.  Pretty much a red coloured curry with lots of tomato/puree etc.  Good alternative to a tikka massala 8)

Why not try cooking your own boiled egg vindaloo or madras ;)

Not exactly boiled egg .. but my old haunt the shah jahan in ilkeston used to do
a chicken badshahi which was a devilishly hot number with egg on top .. though more like a layer of omlette .. it was bloody marvellous ..
