Hi - newbie needs help!

Hi All,
Im a newbie to Curry recipes online and decided to join after many frustating attempts to replicate my local indian curry sauce - I'm hoping I can find a good basic chicken curry sauce and work up from there. I've had some decent attempts but nothing has come close to what I taste at the takeaway. Anyone want to guide me to a standard chicken or lamb curry sauce - also I don't know if anyone is from Glasgow here and has tasted the curry from the "village" in Glasgow as that is the taste I want to replicate!
Do you need to make a base for all dishes or can you make the authentic taste from scratch? I have noticed the recipes online can be either so I'm not sure what's the best - I have only tried the latter. Anyway thanks for taking the time to any help would be much appreciated.
Regards Thomas

Hi Thomas,
Welcome to the forum
Your best bet would be to dive straight in a go for a basic base sauce, something like the Bruce Edwards is ideal to start with.
