Hi guys,just wanted to know what is your best fresh garlic and ginger ratio,and do you add a little water in the blender? :)

use panpot's pre cooked version - spot on.

in the lastest version of the recipe it's 60:40. i far prefer 70:30 for me though.

the batch i made was: garlic 100g, ginger 40g, oil 15ml, water 120ml, turmeric 5ml. fills about 2/3 of jam jar (enough for a weeks curry) ;D

I was making some today and didnt know what measures of both to use so this is a big help, where he states to heat up then cool, once cooled is this ready to use then?

Yes - it's ready for use for me once cooled. the only tricky part i found is in the heating up - u don't won't to blitz it with heat - it's a sort of gentle short fry just enough to get all the ingredients hot. a help for me is to keep in my mind that it will be cooked again in the individual dishes.
