the perfect korma base
« on: October 08, 2008, 08:56 PM »
hi there i have been cooking Curry's since i was about 16 with a recipe that my dad got from a chap who owned a takeaway.the Curry's have always been good but never like a korma from a restaurant. my base mix is 1 onion,
 2 cloves of garlic,
 1/2 inch of ginger,
 1tsp cumin, 2tsp coriander,
 2tsp garam masala
 2tsp curry powder,
1/2 tsp allspice and 1/2tsp of turmeric.

i think maybe its over spiced does anyone have any suggestions to help me on my way? :)

hi dan it does look a bit like a pat chapman base way over spiced. try any of the bases on this forum and you will be kicking yourself for not finding it sooner. regards
