increasing amount of plum toms, or green pepper in base

What do you guys think about

1) increasing amount of green pepper in base

2) increasing amount of plum toms in base

3) increasing amount of carrot in base

i am beggining to tweek my base now, and wondered what the pro's out there think is worth trying. saves me screwing up! cheers

we must be on the same lines.

i think increasing green pepper and plum toms is good. in the KD base recipe i used for many yrs (before finding this site) i always used x2 tins of toms. i'm not sure increasing the green pepper makes than much difference but i've not experimented.

i would say 1 green pepper in a 1600g opinion base is about right.

i've just dropped the carrot in my latest base and i think it's definitely a step in the BIR direction.

I find that green pepper is easily picked out in a base or final curry. Before upping the quantity, you might want to see if the BIR you are trying to emulate has noticeable green pepper. If not you may be barking up the wrong tree.

As for toms, I've always felt that BIR curries seem more tomatoey.
