Right here is my first attempt at doing a BIR Chicken Korma. I have used the MarkJ base sauce, as this was getting rave reviews on here, with good success stories!

I have also decided to do my own Pilau Rice.

Here are a few pictures i taken while doing the base sauce:

After liquidising:

I am going to do the Korma tomorrow, so i will post pics of the finished article.

Does this look about right for the base sauce??

I've never made the MarkJ base, but it seems like the oil content is quite high in the first pic.

The finished and blended base looks great.

Looking forward to the Korma!

Nice looking korma. The rice is rather colourful(!)
Try getting asian bay leaves (tej patta) if you can find an asian supermarket. They taste indian rather than french/english.
While you're there see if you can get cassia bark. It's a lot cheaper than cinnamon so you'll save money. It looks similar but is thicker bark and not rolled up in quils.
