When you're not cooking curries? Do you like to cook any other foods?

I've noticed that most of the members here are men.....are curries and barbeques the last bastions of manliness culinary-wise? I mean, my hubby loves anything that involves big flames, but looks at me like I'm demented when I ask why he doesn't cook a victoria sponge ;D

Or is that just a Yorkshire thing too?

I've never made any Indian sweets, much to the chagrin of 'im indoors : to be honest, I've never thought I could make them as good as the ones I can buy from the multitude of Indian grocers we have around here, not to mention the fact that when he lived with his parents, an Indian woman down the road from him used to spoil him with her home cooking

I've been thinking of having a go though, can you recommend any recipes?

Oh...SnS of course they do : but since he crosses the border into Lancashire, they don't much care ;D He once burnt half of Accrington down, decimnated half the town and only caused ?13.47's worth of damage (apologies to anyone from Accrington, I'm only joking....the final bill was ?3 less )

I was so tempted to say something about enjoying the cream of sum yung gai...but I really don't think this is the place for it :
