Did anyone feel the earthquake?
Nothing down here in South Hampshire, but then I was fast asleep after a curry and a couple of G&Ts   :P

Hi Jethro

We live just North of Lincoln, about 10 miles from Market Rasen (epicentre) and had just gone to bed (12.45) when the house starting shaking just before 1.00.

Our house is below the approach path to RAF Waddington and we get those large Nimrod things with spinning roof racks landing daily.

My first thoughts were that one of these aircraft had crashed, but it only took seconds to realise that the noise (loud rumble) and vibration was from an earth tremor (can't really call it a quake - not at 5.2 on Richter scale).

My parrot fell off his cage and flew into the kitchen sink, breaking my favourite crystal wine glass, and the dog starting shaking with fear in-sync with the vibrating ornaments, windows and brickwork.

As it was all over in 10 seconds, we both jumped straight back into bed (king size waterbed) and took full advantage of the mini tsunami's.

Glad I didn't miss it though, really weird experience.

SnS  ;D

I was looking at my computer monitor and it started shaking around all over the place, on it's stand/pedestal thing.  I didn't know what had caused it until the news the next morning. There was also some noise and the whole thing lasted 3 or 4 seconds.

Regards
George

<puts on a white psychiatrists coat>

Lie on my couch and tell me, George, were you breastfed as a child? 8)

This place gets more like the old curiosity shop every day :P or should that be the old curry-osity shop?
