Frozen garlic/ginger cubes

So for my first time making BIR style curry I made a nice fresh ginger and garlic paste but once that ran out I couldn't be bothered to make another one, so used defrosted Cofresh cubes instead and didn't notice a drop in quality.
Has anyone else tried these? I'm not particularly discerning but even so they're a lot cheaper and more convenient.

I haven't tried that particular brand but I've tried others and they were noticeably lacking compared to fresh. I also got some finely chopped frozen garlic from Morrisons recently which I would not normally, in a non-Covid world, do. That too was very subdued compared to fresh. In either case the difference wasn't subtle, the fresh easily beating both.
