Glasgow Curry Houses - recommendations?
« on: November 03, 2019, 04:03 PM »
Hey!

About twenty years ago, I went for a curry in Glasgow and thought it was one of the best curries I'd ever had.

About fifteen years ago, I went for a curry in Glasgow and thought it was one of the best curries I'd ever had. Suddenly realised it was the same place I'd been five years previously!

I'm never going to find the place I went, and let's face it - restaurants close down, change hands, or otherwise just drop their standards.

However, I've just booked a trip to Glasgow in November, and my experience of BIR there has been nothing short of excellent - so could anyone point me in the direction of a good place?

Thank you in advance!

Sup hukkas!  IIRC we have people here from that part of the world, it might be worth giving some details and seeing if anyone can update you on the place :)    even if to confirm, yeah, it's become a Londis!

Bigboaby1 is your man, but whether he is still participating is moot.  Also EuanW and ELW.  Maybe try a PM.

I don't honestly know.  I seem to recall that his real name is Alex; are you by any chance thinking of "Happy Chris", who is definitely not the same person as Bigboaby1/Alex.

I very recently had a very nice curry (and a very nice taste of the other three people's in our group) at https://www.nakodargrill.com/.

It's a bit out of the way and pretty small so booking advised. Thoroughly recommended.

Nakodar (Punjabi: ?????, Hindi: ?????, pronounced Nuh-Koh-Durh) is a city and a municipal council in Jalandhar district in the Indian state of Punjab.

Posted for no other reason than that the name intrigued me.
